Atlas Copco has finalized its acquisition of the Brazilian pump rental business Itubombas Loca\u00e7\u00e3o Com\u00e9rcio Importa\u00e7\u00e3o e Exporta\u00e7\u00e3o Ltda.\u00a0The Swedish industrial company announced in April 2017 that it had\u00a0agreed to acquire Itubombas.
Based in Itu, in the Brazilian state of S\u00e3o Paulo, Itubombas rents out diesel and electric driven centrifugal pumps to the oil and gas, construction and mining sectors. Itubombas employs around 40 people and had 2016 revenues of approximately BRL18 million.
Itubombas is now part of the Specialty Rental division in Atlas Copco\u2019s Construction Technique business area.
