Oliver Valves has completed the manufacture of a batch of 2\u2033 Class 1500 Inconel 625 full bore Double Block and Bleed (DBB) valves for a major Saudi Aramco pipeline project.\u00a0\u00a0

L&T bags\u00a0 order from Saudi Arabia for WET business<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Water & Effluent Treatment (WET) Business of L&T, along with Lantania of Spain, has signed a contract with ACWA Power, a major developer in the Middle East, to build the Ras Mohaisen Desalination plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. WET won the order in a joint venture with Lantania of Spain, wherein it happens to be the lead partner.
Ras Mohaisen Desalination plant is to have a capacity of 300,000m3\/day. The project\u2019s scope includes design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant.
It encompasses intake and outfall facilities, process units, pumping stations, a 600,000 cubic meters potable water storage facility, an electrical special facility, and associated works along with state-of-the-art automation and instrumentation systems. A Solar PV plant is also part of the project scope.\u00a0 The plant will serve as a drinking water source for Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Baha regions, benefiting about one million population.
This is the second desalination order that L&T has received in Saudi Arabia in the recent past and it strengthens WET\u2019s presence in the Middle East region. This large order underscores WET\u2019s resolve to expand its regional footprint across all neighboring and business-conducive geographies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Westinghouse Electric Company and Celeros Flow Technology (FT)\u00a0 have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support nuclear new-build projects in Canada and globally.
Under the agreement, Celeros FT has the potential to design and fabricate valves and pumps for key AP1000 and AP300 projects. The announcement is the latest in a series of agreements with Canadian firms to support Westinghouse\u2019s AP1000 and AP300 projects globally.
For each AP1000 unit that is built outside of Canada, Westinghouse can generate almost $1 billion Canadian dollars in gross domestic product (GDP) through local suppliers.
Celeros FT, a leader in nuclear pumps and valves, manufactures equipment from four certified facilities. In fact, 65% of operational nuclear power plants feature Celeros FT\u2019s Clyde Union Pumps and Copes-Vulcan valve installations globally.\u00a0\u00a0Westinghouse is owned by Brookfield and Cameco. Nigeria will soon house its first-ever industrial valve manufacturing plant as MT Valves West Africa. A subsidiary of global industrial giant MT Group has unveiled plans to establish a 15,000-ton capacity facility in the country.
New \u00a0factory would focus on the design, assembly, maintenance, and manufacturing of industrial valves for Nigeria\u2019s oil and gas, petrochemical, and allied sectors.
The company already supplies to Shell and operates across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

France\u2019s Flamanville 3 European Pressurised Reactor (EPR) has been connected to the French electricity grid, making it the fourth EPR reactor across three plants worldwide to come online equipped with valves supplied by IMI.
The milestone means IMI has provided valves for all four EPRs in operation worldwide. \u00a0As well as Flamanville 3, IMI has supplied valves for use in Taishan 1 and 2 in China, and Olkiluoto 3 in Finland. It will also be supplying valves for use in the Hinkley Point C EPR currently under construction in the UK.

Indian Oil Corporation is set to invest Rs 61,000 crore to establish a state-of-the-art petrochemical complex at Paradip in Odisha. The announcement was made following the signing of a preliminary agreement between Indian Oil and the Odisha government during the Odisha Investors\u2019 Meet held in New Delhi recently.
Describing it as the company\u2019s \u201clargest-ever investment at a single location,\u201d Indian Oil emphasized the strategic importance of the project. The corporation already operates a 15 million tonnes-per-year refinery at Paradip, and the new complex will significantly enhance the region\u2019s industrial capabilities.
