SPX Flow Inc’s Food and Beverage business has been awarded contracts worth US$30 million by two Chinese dairy companies. Siping Junlebao Dairy Co Ltd has selected SPX Flow to help establish a new milk processing plant in northern China to produce a variety of yoghurts and milk-based beverages.
The completed facility will feature a number of SPX Flow fluid handling components and process technologies including milk separators, homogenizers, agitators, vacuum mixing systems, valves, pumps and heat exchangers.
Work on the project will start immediately and the new plant is expected to start operating in 2017.
The other contracts, awarded by one of China’s largest dairy companies, will see SPX Flow help to significantly expand capacity at existing milk processing plants, increasing production volumes of yoghurts and milk-based beverages.
