Ebara Industrias Mecânicas e Comercio Ltda (Ebara Brazil) has completed the acquisition of Brazilian pump manufacturer Thebe Bombas Hidráulicas SA.Thebe Bombas Hidráulicas had revenues of R$84 million in 2014 and around 289 employees.
Founded in 1946 and based in Sao Paulo, Thebe Bombas Hidráulicas manufactures and sells pumps for industrial, agricultural, building and construction use. In addition to expanding Ebara’s pump range, Thebe will also strengthen Ebara’s sales network with its more than 4000 pump dealers throughout Brazil.
Ebara Brazil, which is also headquartered in Sao Paulo, manufactures, sells and services deep well submersible motor pumps. The company employs 239 people and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
Ebara says that it will continue to further expand its pump business in Brazil and South America market.
