Atlas Copco is buying the vacuum business of OC Oerlikon Corp AG. Headquartered in Cologne, Germany, Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum had revenues of E358 million in 2014 and employs about 1600 people.
The Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum business will become part of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Solutions division within the Compressor Technique business area.
The Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum acquisition follows Atlas Copco’s 2014 purchase of Edwards Group Ltd.
This latest acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016.
