PG Flow Solutions is to supply seawater circulation pumps for a wellboat that the Norwegian shipyard Aas Mekaniske Verksted is building for Brønnbåt Nord Lofoten. Eight large seawater circulation pumps will be supplied for the 63.86 metre long and 14 metre wide new build wellboat. The pumps will ensure continuous seawater circulation in the boat’s well, which has a total storage capacity of 1200 cubic metres across two wells.
During the past year, the shipyard awarded similar contracts to PG Flow Solutions for three other new builds.
The pump systems will be delivered to Aas Mekaniske Verksted’s yard in Vestnes, Norway. Ship delivery is planned for November 2021.
Hayward Tyler has been awarded a £2 million contract to supply a glandless pump package to Chinese EPC Shanghai Electric (Group) Corporation, for installation at Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park Phase IV, a 950MW concentrating solar power (CSP) and photovoltaic hybrid IPP in Dubai.
The project will use three different technologies to generate clean energy: 600MW from a parabolic basin complex; 100MW from a solar tower; and 250MW from PV panels.
